Default old hickory lake fishing report 12/3/2013

I went out this morning and found lots of fog so I followed the shoreline right to the cove and stayed there all day. I started with the #5 shad rap then went to the feather spinner bait and ended up trying the slider jig in motor oil and that was the ticket. I was working the trees in 3' of water and catching yellow bass and LM bass and the fun part was I was following another bass boat and catching what they didn't catch................woody P.S. The last picture was a little shakey.

I'd be interested in hearing that as well.

This weekend it was 64-65 at GSP, around 55 at Flippers. Wonder what the lower end is like.

Nice fish! even better knowing you were following other guys and still putting fish in the boat!
them yellow bass are a funny fish ive found out on Priest. they put up a good fight though. are they a big schooling fish or do they just kinda swim with whatever school is around? Trying to catch crappie though they can be a bit of a hassle swiping all my minnows! lol

You should try the slider jig next time out because it looks like a small minnow coming though the water..................woody

What exactly is a slider jig?

Are you talking about the hook or the plastic?

Etc: http://sliderfishing.com/

Hammy

ps I'm still new at this and filling my brain with knowledge.
