Default Possible Middle TN meet - Need to come up with good spot

We need to come up with a great spot for a Wet meet / Swap meet. I think we would target early spring or late fall. Some key items to think about:
  • A less busy area on water we can hold events like slow races or 3hp or 6hp derby.
  • A large enough parking lot where we can setup a swap meet in a section and
  • A low bank area or large docks we cant bank or park boats.
  • A picnic area or pavilion to eat lunch, gather, chat and possible motor display.

There are a few prospects I think:
Long Branch park on Old Hickory has a pavilion and a decent size parking lot. Also has a low bank area we cant bank our boats (assuming we are allowed to). We'd of course need to check with Park officials and reserve pavilion.

Bledsoe Creek park I was also just at a ramp in Bledsoe Creek park recently, that also has similar capabilities as Long Branch...no pavilion though.

Please respond with ideas if you know of a great spot.

Sanders Ferry in Hendersonville would not be bad. Pretty large area and plenty of pavilions. Rockland would not too bad either.

We actually had it at Sanders Ferry before and it was great. Maybe this time we can get the big pavillion next to the boat ramp
