I encourage you if you want to catch a few stripers it's been pretty constant for me the last four or five weeks. If you can get out there on a day when there's less boats it's to your benefit. Maybe cold cloudy or light rain. Here's another one in topwater 38 inches 23 pounds with my friend Hugh photo bombing. I do have 40–50 pound braid just because of the current or they could take you for long runs if you're not prepared you'll get hung up or maybe break your line. You also will land him quicker then you get a chance to catch two or three instead of just one taking you forever to land. Also one if the biggest keys make sure if you are at the barrier have a rod and reel that can cast long.
