Default Coles Ferry Boat Ramp Parking

For those if you who launch out if Coles Ferry Ramp:

I was asked by a gentleman who described himself as President of the neighborhood association to help him by telling everyone with a trailer to make sure that trailers are backed onto the grass. The ramp is small as it is, and leaving the trailer and vehicle on the paved area makes it almost impossible for anyone to turn around, especially with a trailer. He was very polite and just wanted to let us anglers know that we CAN back the trailers onto the grass. Thanks.

Thanks for posting this Chris.

I've been hesitant to launch my boat there because of (a) not knowing if it was OK to park on the grass, and (b) wondering if I'd be able to get turned around once all the other vehicles got there.

Coming from where we come from Merv, it may be easier and faster to still use Flippers. That road leading down to the ramp at Coles is pretty narrow if you meet another trailer carrying a good size boat.

You could give it a try on an off day to check it out though.

It can be a little crowded at times but its not as bad as it sounds. On those high teen/low 20 degree mornings, its nice to be able to idle across to the plant rather than make that run from Flippers.
