Anyone heard when the barrier will be removed at the GSP?

2016 estimated. It depends on how they are on their schedule. I believe someone else on here had said that Watts Bar was doing construction as well and they were 2 years behind schedule. So you never know.

My guess is it will go longer.

TWRA told me it would reopen when SAMBOLIE signed a "Will not visit" agreement.

From what I heard they have been wanting it closed for a long time and now that it is it will take an act of congress to open it back up LOL................WOODY

Yup, never know when one of them big ol' cranes that haven't moved in 8 months might decide to just keel over into the canal 500 feet away.

Did that text say its expected to be fully operational by the end of 2017?

And the Monster Crappie too a couple of my honeyholes are now blocked i regulary caught fat 13-14 inch slabs in there who knows how big they wil be when it opens up again
