Default tn river fishing tips

I was just wondering if anyone could give me some advice on fishing bigger rivers such as the tennessee river around knoxville. I usually take my kayak out and fish it after class but I never have much luck. Usually fishing for bass, but it would be awesome to catch some bigger fish.

Pay attention to the current. Fishing big rivers is almost always better with water flowing. Fish rocky shorelines and wood. Jigs, crankbaits, and spinnerbaits are my go-to river lures.
