Default Lowrance lms520c - help

I just purchased a boat with a Lowrance LMS520c GPS Chart / SONAR. Based on this being an older unit, I was able to download an owners manual but I am having a fit trying to understand way points! When the manual talks about the GPS Mapping it acts like you are going to use the unit on the highways not the water.

What I am attempting to learn is:
#1 How to mark and save a way point.
#2 How to later navigate back to the way point using the GPS/Chart.

Thanks for any light you might shed on this subject.

Jim

Jim I have a couple units one is a LMS 522 which I believe are pretty close to being the same as 520. If you push the WPT button twice that will save the waypoint instantly. Then if you want to go back to that waypoint hit WTP one time cursor over to saved waypoints and pick the waypoint you want to go to. Hopefully that helps
