Default Friendly Reminder

All

This weekend I had the pleasure of fishing with two great guys in kayaks. Fishing at night was a challenge and especially so when one of us was pulled down some rapids and hit a tree, ejecting him in the water. Two of us realized this when we turned back and did not see the third's headlamp. Pitch black. Everything turned out OK except he broke both his rods and lost his oar.
If any of your fine folks find a hook one oar somewhere on the Caney it is probably his. Shaken up but determined we learned many valuable lessens and are so thankful all of us walked out of the river on Saturday.

Always wear your life jacket, folks. It is just fishing.

The one who was ejected told me he was not phased by this occurance. He said, "I will go again, be more careful, and stay away from the rapids."

Fishing at night on a river in a kayak doesn't sound safe. IMHO

Glad that story ended well. I would love to fish the Caney at night but I am getting to old to stay up that late plus I am afraid of exactly what happened with your friend.
