Default JPP striper today

I won one, got beat up by another one.

Landed a little 5 3/4 lb hybrid this morning, he acted like a big crappie, lazy as heck.

Hooked into another FISH later that would give me ten feet of line then take out twenty. Fought it (and the speed of the boat Trolling 2.5 MPH) for about five minutes and wasn't winning the battle at all. So I tightened the drag down on the 40 lb braid and commenced to winch. That lasted for about 60 feet of line then the hook pulled out. Didn't get to see it, but being the amazing judge of fish unseen weighing, my conservative estimate is about 73.652 lbs, give or take a half ounce. Mighta been a new state record, probably was, I'm sure of it!

So if y'all catch the new TN state record FISH, and he's got a torn mouth, just remember, I softened him up for ya!

LOL, Woody. You would have been proud of a coupla branches I pulled in yesterday! Priest is horrible for trees coming up close to the surface.

I probably lost 8 bucktails w/twistertails, probably a few hundred feet of line, braid and mono, and pulled in three treetop limbs. But when you are trolling and a tree pops up on your graph, there is no dodging them with 8 rods out. You just pull through. If you snag up, thumb the spool till something breaks.
