Default Center Hill tournament day

I had a tournament on the hill today for my jr. bass club. I wasn't very excited because it was center hill in the middle of the day. But when I got there the water clarity was about 3 feet, and the water was fairly cool. I fished for 2 hours without a bite, and I was starting to get a little worried. Then I threw a texas rigged Go 2 Baits swimming craw and started to hop it. A little smallmouth attacked it. I ended up catching four 12" smallies and a keeper spot. Then I put on a lil' thumper and catch about a 2.5 pound largemouth. Then I put the green pumpkin swimming craw back on and caught a 3lbs 6oz small-jaw. The smallie jumped 4 times, each time higher that 2 feet off the surface. I ended up winning total fish with 7lb 8oz and big fish with 3lb 6oz smallie. It could not have gone better, given that I have been on Center Hill one other time. I alternated with a green pumpkin and watermelon red Go 2 Baits swimming craw and a Go 2 Baits 4.2" lil' thumper.

Congrats on the 1st place. Nothing like watching a big smallie jumping 2' out of the water, it also has been known to cause heart stoppage.

You should be proud Isaac. That lake can be tough, let alone with those conditions and being your 2nd trip there. Did you notice what the thermocline was holding at?

The guy I fished with had an old depthfinder and I didn't even look at it. He only had one around the console or I would have.
