Default Williamsport Lake Conditions

Went out to Williamsport to try get a little fish fix in today and thought I would give the lake conditions for those who might be fishing this weekend. Blue Cat is 83 degrees and water clarity is 18 inches. Goldeneye is 83 degrees and water clarity is 2 feet...the lake looks good. The Duckweed has drifted towards the dam but with some wind that will change. Shellcracker water clarity is only about 9 inches and water temp is 84 degrees. At Blue Cat and Goldeneye big bass were busting close to the bank....at Goldeneye busting in the willows and under Duckweed. Did not see that going on in Shellcracker. All lakes have good high water levels. Good fishing!

My son and I may go this weekend, depending on weather. We haven't made it over to Goldeneye or Shellcracker, yet. Are there good places for bank fishing? Or should we get a boat?

No boats for rent at Goldeneye. I caught a few shell cracker out of Blue Cat and Shellcracker from the bank today. I don't large mouth fish much but they would have been catchable from the bank today. Goldeneye is best fished out of kayak .....canoe...or boat if you can get it in and out. With water level as it is now putting a boat in would be fine.
