Default Best Fishing Trip Ever

My best friend, his wife and their grandson Joey are up here from Florida for a visit and I took my friend and grandson out for a morning of fishing today. Joey hooked into a nice carp with an ultralight rig with 2-pound test and managed to fight it and bring it in. Then, he schooled us on how to catch bluegill. I also let "Captain Joey" drive my boat up and down the river which he really enjoyed and to top off my day, my friend caught a nice 4-pound bass on a jig. Thank you Lord, for such a great day

That's what it's all about. That's something he will never forget.

Congrats on a great day, nomad! You've just gotten Joey hooked on boating and fishing for life.

It's something I'll never forget either. First time I've ever played "guide" and although it's hard to mess up bluegill fishing, it was a real joy to see him cast (practiced in the yard yesterday), catch and reel in the fish. And the bonus was my friend, who is a saltwater fisherman, catching that bass on a jig, just about right where I told him we may have some luck...good stuff.

Nomad, those are memories that will last Joey a lifetime.
BTW, good to see you on the fish.

LOL, when my buddy caught that bass I was dying to start fishing but...this was their day and I'll hopefully have plenty more.
