Awesome fishing there man. Let's hope the water in there stays high for a while and that they don't decide to treat the water to kill the duckweed. It makes great bass cover.

Did you get that pic of you holding the bass by putting your phone on front camera with the timer and putting it in the cupholder? I thought of doing that next time I get a pic worthy fish.

How late in the day were you able to get them on the frog? I didn't get any blowups after about 8:30

The wind had blow all the duck weed to the one side and that the only place I fish in and around the trees if you sat back there you could hear and see the bass smashing the dragon flies it was pretty cool

Unless we get lots of rain the water will most assuredly drop....it always does.....and if I was you I would fish it every chance I had because when it gets so low they will close that lake off.....happens just about every summer. They don't spray anything out there to kill anything....or I should say they have not in the past and I doubt that will change. I may hit it this week because I can get out of the wind there....gives me more seat time in the kayak and get to use si in turbid water to see how I need to adjust settings for that type of water. Some big shell crackers in there.

Regards

Yea I know in the Fall it gets so low that it's a hazard to even get in because of the silt muddy banks. The Summer rains should keep it up for a bit though and I'll take advantage of it as much as I can.

Nice fish. Caught 3 about this size in shell cracker morning of July 5th. Camera angle makes this one look huge. Whats weird is I was using Senko green, but looks like something else in mouth. Didn't notice it that morning, but when I looked at picture
