Default JPP Seven Points water advisory?

Got skunked again today. Yet to catch a striper/hybrid from Seven Points this year and am considering quitting and instead probably go shooting at the range

Saw a water advisory at the gate of Seven Points. Says do not swim or wade, avoid water contact in this area. Any idea why?

They test the water periodically in different areas 9 times out of 10 there is a high level of e.coli (ie too many geese are pooping in the water.)

Can anybody validate this? I'd sure hope that if there was a high e.coli presence in the water that TWRA would have posted a warning on facebook. I've even Google searched for this and found nothing.

The post also said to contact JPP Lake Resource Manager's office for further details. 615-889-1975. I called then but they seemed to be available only M-F.

Water quality isn't TWRA's responsibility. That falls to TDEC/USACE.

Agreed.

I am guessing TWRA has taken it upon themselves to make this a PS announcement.

I blame the goose hunters ... they're obviously not doing their job! lol

Bet I saw 200 geese today on Old Hickory Lake.
