Default The SAMBOLIE curse is real

So I fished the tournament at Hamilton Creek last night. Most folks went left to fish toward the shallow coves with laydowns. I decided to go right and work deep cranks and finesse worms on structure. Evidently it was the wrong choice because I caught ZERO fish.

I get back to the ramp and I hear "You must be Jimmy". I said yes and good old SAMBOLIE introduced himself to me. Now I know why I didn't catch any fish, he was in the area putting his jinx on me!!

Merv is right about him haha.

Haha.
i was wondering why you bounced so fast.

I went left and bypassed the shallow and fished a bank where the creek channel comes real close to it. i cranked for over an hour with nothing to show, tried a shaky head and caught a 13" fish first cast.

i hooked another on a buzzbait later and lost him at the boat. Would have put me in the money!

I had and still have a bunch of stuff to take care of at home so I packed up and left. If that hadn't been the case I would have stayed around to see how everyone else did whether I caught fish or not. I was actually debating whether to even go because of things I needed to get done since we have company coming in tomorrow night.

Oh well, that's why it's fishing. Last tournament I caught like 8 fish and got 7th out of 28 or 29... last night SKUNK!

All I can do now is look forward to the next fishing outing!

It was rough all the way around, my gas powered kayak did not do much better than you jimmy, two 13" fish and white bass. Schools of baitfish everywhere getting destroyed.

Dude with the night I had, I would have been rejoicing over two 13" fish.

I threw 3 different plastic worms, both on shaky heads and texas rigged
2 different crankbaits
buzzbait
chatterbait
topwater frog

Nothing. Not even a short strike the entire night. Closest thing to any action I got was a sunfish that followed my crankbait to the yak and then left.

I'd mark structure/fish on the graph and toss out markers, paddle way past it and make a looong crankbait cast and bring it through. Nothing.

That seems to be about how our night went, you missed out on the flat tire on your truck though. I would mark fish throw everything at them with no takers... I think it was because SAMBOLIE was at the lake, it screwed the whole lake over.

Well hey this is how I think of getting skunked:

I'm not the best but I certainly don't suck at bass fishing. I have plenty of days where I only catch one but getting skunked isn't common. When I do get skunked, that only increases my chances that my next fishing outing will product some fish based on statistics

Of course, when SAMBOLIE shows up all statistics and math is thrown out the window haha

With 34 anglers and only 14 that turned in fish it was definitely tough.
Maybe SAMBOLIE put his curse on everyone!

Definitely a tough night, made it worse that I had a 15 1/2" jump off my board before I got a pic. Only cost me $10 and 1 place though.

I have heard it said that Sambolie visits ramps and marinas dressed in drag. He can fling a hex on you and you never saw it coming.

That would be one ugly woman.

I have never met Sambolie so I am not sure what he would look like dressed as a woman, but I do know very few men look good as a woman.

Careful that your mouth doesn't overload you ass by talking about SAMBOLIE.

Look at what happened to Jimmy and Juice.

Your boat may be leaking soon. BTW, was that you that propositioned me at the ramp last night.
