Was invited to fish with Joey Monteleone yesterday. He took me to a private lake managed for trophy bass in exchange for some pictures.
It was a tough bite, but there was a 1 hour window where they turned on and were crushing crankbaits.
I ended up with about 2 dozen fish in 6 hrs of fishing. No absolute monsters, but I had 4 between 19"-20.5". Here are the biggest 2.
I tell ya, catching a 5 lb+ bass on a crank that is bouncing off brush is a great feeling!
