Default JPP 5-25 bass

I finally had a chance to get out and fish. I started working a part time job two months ago and my fishing has slowed to a crawl. I worked at 11 today so I left for the lake at 5. I started out fishing some of my favorite top water spots with no takers, one short strike at the boat. I went down past fate sanders and had to pass up on one of my favorite spots because someone was on it. I fished a cove I like and caught two keepers, best was 17" and lost another. I ended up with 5 bass, 3 keepers, two lost fish and I missed a few. I also found some blue gill beds while flipping some logs in the back of a cove. It was nice being on the water again, I really thought I would kill it with the over cast sky. All but one fish came on a D bomb off wood on the bank. The other fish was on a channel bend throwing a Carolina rigged Big bites Cane tail worm.

Those are pretty fish! The torque a large mouth has is impressive to me. Glad you got to get back on the water.

Regards

Good looking fish. Lots of quality bass being caught on Priest this year it seems. Thanks for the report.

Nice bass! Most people think the larger fish have already moved out deeper.

They were not large fish but still nice to catch them. I did see some fish out a little deeper right off the channel, that's where I caught the one on a Carolina rig. I graphed some bait fish and fish so I dropped a buoy, turned around and started throwing a crankbait at various angles with no takers so I switched to the C rig and on the first cast caught one, and then 2 cast later missed one. It's funny how they will watch a crankbait go by but then eat a C rigged worm. I was in about 12-15' of water at that point.

Very nice fish. What is it about the tug of that line that we all love so much when a fish is on.
