Cheatham Dam Night Fishing

Hello all,

I'm thinking about going out to Cheatham Dam tonight for some night fishing. Does anyone know any good spots to setup from the bank? I've never been to the Dam to fish and really want to try it out. Unfortunately night is the only free time I have. I guess I'm looking for tips and to see if this is even an advised area to fish at night?

I guess I will ask about Old Hickory Dam as well so not to make another thread. OHD is closer to me would it be any better than Cheatham, it has been a few years since I'vs been to OHD? I've never been out to Cheatham dam that I know of and just wanted to fish something new.

I don't know if you've left yet, but my 2 cents worth would be that Cheatham is not generating from 8-10 tonight, and Old Hickory is not generating 9-11pm. I don't know about night time, but in the day, no generation=no fish, at least that has been my experience. Both dams have pretty decent access from the bank, Old Hickory especially. Cheatham's not too bad though. If they turn the generation on, get ready to move, it comes up quick. Good luck, let us know if you do any good.

Cheatnam is running 1 generator 10pm-2am.

OHD 11pm-3am

That is the info I am getting.
