Default JPP bass and bluegill

I started out at 10:00 bass fishing with the guy that I am going to fish the Fishers of Men Legacy event with saturday. He wanted to know where I wanted to fish and I told him up between Bryants Grove and Hong Kong. We carolina rigged the gravel and had a few bites, but no hookups. I started chunking my spinnerbait and hooked a nice 14.25 inch fish. Little did I know that would be one of the only fish of the day. We ran up to the very back of stewards creek and Eric caught a smaller one. We finished the day by fishing the sunken houseboat in the back cove behind Fate Sanders. I had a spotted bass hit my texas rigged lizard so hard that he almost took my Academy Ethos rod out of my hand. Set the hook and reeled him in. We went in about 1:00. So I caught my fish on a white and chart. spinnerbait with double willows and a texas rigged green pumpkin lizard. Eric caught his on a spot remover shaky head with a green pumpkin baby brush hog on it.

I went back in about 15 minutes to find some bluegill. I heard stories of people yanking them out like it was there job. I caught approximately 150 fish and made 3 new believers in the 2 pound test and trout magnets. I found some nests and caught these 9 7-8 inchers within the first 10 minutes. I caught plenty of others this size but I only felt like cleaning a few. About 100 of the fish were 7 inches or up females. I threw those back so we would have some bluegill next year. Had a few monster bluegills get off or cut my line on the rocks. The people next to me had gone 30 minutes with out a bite so I tried to offer them a trout magnet. They said yes, but when I went to tie it on their line was so heavy it wouldn't fit through the hook eye. I told them to order off troutmagnet.com and get some stuff.

I ended the fishing day by going to Lamar Hill with chicken liver to try to find some catfish. I had 4 bites but no hookups. Looks like the catfish bite is picking up. Too many spots and species to try to catch it is hard to make up my mind
The last pic was the best part of the day.

Nice stringer of fish there Isaac. Glad you got into them. I am hoping to get back to KY Lake on Thursday and maybe will bring some home this time.....but.....we have another cold front coming in. Curious to see if it will drive the Gills to deeper water. It is full moon so it should be on big time for the Gills next few days and weeks hopefully.

Regards

That's a nice day on the water. I have a friend that wants me to take him and his son out, he is 6 and wants to learn to fish. I am thinking about trying to find some bluegill like that.
