Default Centerhill 04-23-2014

Alpha and I went up to the Hill today. Wasn't the best day but wasn't the worst. I caught several big bluegill and 5 nice smallmouth. They were between 16 and 18 inches. This was the biggest one today. All fish were caught on 4lb test SOS line and a purple redemption Trout Magnet. Water temp around 67 degrees. I will let Alpha post his own report.

Are you fishing as a co-angler in the BFL? I did that for a couple of years and learned a lot. If so and you happen to get paired with a good bed fisherman try to make peace with the fact that you may not get much productive water to work with but the consolation prize can be one heck of an educational experience!

My very first tournament ever I was paired with a local that knew every bed in the lake and he ended up winning. I didn't catch a fish. It was frustrating for me but at least I got to make a few flips at smaller spotted bass on his way between beds.

Either way - good luck!

It is a club tournament for 11-18 year olds. It is called the sparta jr bass club. Nothing huge but it is still one of my first ones.

Nice browntrout. I've been reading up and watching videos on the Slayer Propel 13 all day. It looks like a great vessel. Also with a reputable dealer close by that makes the decision easier, I just wish it was about 10"-1' longer and 2" wider. Maybe I just need a boat.

Sold my boat to get this!!!!! Come try mine out 1 day. You are welcome to come get it and take it fishing. I think you will find it is plenty big enough!!!! I absolutely love it. There isn't anything that I would change on it. Got to save up some $$$$ now and get my wife one, and then that brings on needing a trailer.

Thanks for the offer, I would feel better setting up a fishing trip together and getting in it and checking it out. I'm not one to borrow something like that. We've sold off almost all of our kayaks, so we're kinda in the market. It would be a purchase of 2 for us also.
