Default JPP Wading Sunday 04-13-14

Fished this afternoon again from 3:30-6:30. Everything caught on 3/32 blue/chartreuse jig, 4lb. test. Went to one of my primary spots, but today it was covered up with people fishing or kids throwing rocks in the water. Walked to another area where I'll normally catch some fish, but not usually in numbers. Ended up staying there the whole time, my third spot I could see in the distance there were several boats back there. Did catch 25 yellows (all 6-8"), 5 whites (10"), 1 hybrid (12"), and 7 good size crappie (12-13.5"). Not too bad of a day.

Well my new Mister Twister Piranha purchased Thursday night bit the dust yesterday. When I first used it Thursday it did fillet well but was noisy. My concerns were correct. When I tried using it Saturday, one blade would move freely, the other one just barely. Couldn't even cut through the skin of a crappie. I'm glad Academy exchanged it for another one today without any problems. Used the new new one to fillet the crappie this evening without any problems, did notice it was much quieter than the one purchased Thursday night. Time will tell how it will perform.

Musta been a bad manufacturing job on yours. I'm glad Academy made it good for you.

I have had the electric fisherman for two weeks now and it has already filleted about 150-200 fish. I like it a lot. I may need to upgrade to a 9 inch blade.
