Fishing Wednesday afternoon
So... I was planning on taking the kayak out tomorrow and fishing todd's lake here in Murfreesboro but upon returning home from work today I found out my garage has been invaded by Red wasps, which I am allergic to. I tried some home remedies but I still have some flying around so I am going to have to get the good stuff from Lowe's. I am now taking the Stratos out to priest and fishing for bass and then drifting some jigs and mister twisters for crappie ( I am not buying minnows ). I feel like such a sissy spraying and then running from them but when you get stung and have a hard time breathing it makes sense to me to run! Everyone watch out they are getting bad all of a sudden with the warmer weather.

No shame in that. I opened the shed door this evening and was eye to eye with a dozen of them clinging to the inside of the door. Out came the broom and i comenced to swinging. I dont do anything that stings: hornets, bees, wasps.....ect....no thank you!
lol.....i might take my fiances friends son this weekend. Gonna have to play it by ear with all the rain we are suppose to get though.

Heck yeah! I hooked up the FFA flat trailer at school today and those little devils came screaming out of the tongue. Last time that happened I almost set the trailer on fire.
Mind you I did soak a rag in diesel and shove it in there and then lit it......
I always tell my students do as I say not as I do!
Heading to priest tomorrow after school in fact...

J&S I like the way you think! I went out and saw 2 on the window screen and sprayed them with a can of spray adhesive, that works very well! I looked up and had 8 more hanging out around my light. I sprayed them with rubbing alcohol because some guy said that would work, it does just not very fast. They all flew into the direction of my kayak so I said forget it, going to the lake.

Spray them with WD-40 and they fall like a brick. Then you get the satisfaction of stomping the helpless bastards.

denatured alcohol works much better than isopropyl. we have it in spray bottles at my shop and use it for them.

That was my problem then I had isopropyl. I like the Spray adhesive buccaneer you get to watch them slowly suffocate and stiffen up It pretty much puts them down instantly but the spray distance is very limited.

Stopped by JPP Fall Creek today on my way home. The bite is hot. Caught 40+ gills, 2 crappie, 2 redeye, 2 yellows in 1.5 hours. Had a small gill on and next thing I know drag starts screaming... A 4lb. LM came from an undercut bank and crushed it. I finally get him up and he coughs it up, oh well. All fish caught on 4lb. test UL, black TM in 2-6 FOW.

I had a Big smallmouth do that on center hill Trout while I was blue gill fishing. The fish came up twice for the bluegill but never ate it, it was a huge small mouth probably 12 pounds........ I am going to get back out Sunday and try again. I missed as many or more tonight than I caught, it's hard to not set the hook like I am bass fishing.
