Default JPP wading 3/21 and 3/22

Hit my spots again Friday and Saturday. Friday found them in my original hole, caught many crappie yellows and white bass. I had a purple redemption trout mag on and fished for 15 minutes, put on the Purple Haze and it was game on. Funny how 2 different shades of purple can make a difference. My friend kept 6 for a good meal, too show the size, the smallest fish on the stringer, bottom left, was 11.5 inches. Caught a decent largemouth also.

Hit the same spot saturday, wind switched, not a fish around. Walked around to the other side of the cove, ran into Fisher01...nice to finally meet you! I hit a spot that I know holds crappie, good mud to rock transition, stumps, brush. I fished it hard. Finally they started hitting, caught several just before dark. Nicest fish so far, Not a one under 13" and biggest was 13.5". I am amazed that in 4 trips in this area, I have pulled out roughly 60-70 crappie, 2 were around 10", one 11.5", and all the rest 12-13.5". Good times!

I think this week will hurt my spot, might not fish for a few days. Until then, good luck!

That's some pretty fish Mike. Congrats. Sometimes a color change makes all the difference.

Regards.

Mike:

Is was good to meet and see you yesterday. Those pic's are great, good looking, nice size. From a lot of people I've talked with last couple days, it seems the fish have been hitting either right at sunrise or just before sunset.
