Default Gas cap

Anybody know where I could possibly find a gas cap for a 1990 Stratos bass boat?
Left mine at a gas station and apparently someone needed it because they didn't turn it in to the attendant.

What size/style cap is it? For the red or white plastic tanks, replacement riding lower mower caps from the blue or orange hardware store will sometimes fit. For the metal ones, sometimes auto parts store carries them.

Merv, send me a pic ... I know you have a bass boat with a built in Tank ... so you have a deck mounted filler cap ... These are universal among boat mfr's ... You will probably have to by the complete assembly ... But I am sure I can get it for you ... Send Pic ... <'TK><

That's what I was trying to circumvent, replacing the the whole thing. Getting to the clamps that hold the filler neck to the tube going to the tank is darn near impossible.

The clamp/s are so far under the back deck it's going to be difficult to loosen. Then, the tube and filler assembly have been together for 24 years. Gonna be hard to separate.

I need to find a boat salvage yard and send them a picture. Although, if you can get the whole assembly, I'd buy that and just use the cap.

Do you receive text/MMS on your phone? Or should I email you a picture or post it here?

C&O Marine in White Bluff, call and get the parts department. C&O either has or can source most anything for Stratos boat parts.615.797.4760
You can also try the Gallatin location off of 109 near Poindexters. 452-1470.

That's a dealer item. Don't be surprised if you don't have to buy the whole assembly.

Yes sir! I'm sure it will.

Of course it's not as nice as my temporary cap/plug, but it is probably waterproof (which mine may not be)!

How about a Wednesday pickup?
