Default Jpp 3/20

My realtor appt got canceled, so I headed to the lake after work. arrived at 3:45. Fished the hole where they were saturday...nada. Fished several other spots...nada. No bait activity or surface activity. A bass boat came by, water temp was 53.7....i was thinking they should be starting to come in. I try a spot that transitions from mud to rock, it has done well for me in the past. I finally get my first bite at 6:30, caught a fair amount from 6:30 to 7:00. I realize while I am catching that there is bait activity on the surface. I think the water just needed to warm a bit more to bring the fish in. I am really impressed with the size of the crappie I am catching this year. These were all cookie cutter 13" fish. Very thick, very fat. They hit a purple redemption trout mag. I will be back tomorrow and plan on doing well Took a few pics to share. Looking forward to tomorrow!

Nice fish sir, I fished from 5-7 and caught 3 decent size crappie. I was getting bites but no takers. I would find fish, catch one and then they would shut off. I did notice some big fish coming to the surface and breaking water, I am thinking Hybrid because we caught 3 last week in that locations.

I guess they could have been carp but I was over 25-30' of water. Every now and again I would see one pass under the sonar but have no idea what they were. I have only caught one female with eggs even somewhat close to being dropped over the last few weeks, you guys seeing anything different?

They are bulging, but not sure if they are ready to drop. I didn't clean any.
