Default Chatterbait Trailers

After searching old forums on here, I found lots of info on making chatterbaits but am looking for what to use on trailers for the ones that I buy. Looks like a crappie magnet or slider would be great, but can you go with longer worms like Senkos or even flukes if fishing on lakes or rivers with chatterbaits? I was on the Harpeth fishing one last night and loved the feel of it until of course I lost it on the bottom...you haven't fished the Harpeth until you lose baits on the bottom! What colors of chatterbait bodies do you use on lakes and rivers around here?

Pre-spawn I use green pumpkin. After that I use white for the rest of the year. I use bass pro twin tail grubs as trailers .

Grubs, flukes, ribbon tail worms, frogs, paddle tail swim baits, Strike King Rage Tail baits virtually anything will work great.
