Default OHL Crappie 3/11/14

Fished from 5 pm - 6:45 pm. Caught 12 keepers (14 total). The 2 non keepers were the first in my last 4 trips.

Same as last time, all fish caught on tuffies (bought at Walker's) spider rigged using a double drop rig in 25-35 fow. They were all tucked close to the bottom.

It's interesting they're so close to the bottom I don't see any brush or anything on why they're there?

Yeah there wasn't much, if any, structure where we were at. We didn't get hung up once. I was trolling a wide creek bed near the channel. They were usually on steep but small depth changes (6"-2'). If you look at the picture there is about a 1' depth change.

Nice bunch of fish. That one foot depth...steep drop, is enough to cause one to stop and fish.

Regards
