Default My first Sleigh Ride!

Went to the GSP again saturday morning. Warm, calm, sunny, not a fish in sight. No busts, not even way back. Was casting some baits while soaking a threadfin behind me. Had several bites on the threadfins, but they would pull for 30 ft or so, then i would pull back to just get a mangled shad back. I am thinking gar, whatever it was, they had serious teeth. Looked like someone took a filet knife to the shad. This happened 4 times. Finally caught 2 drum, about 4 pounds a piece. had 15 minutes more to fish, tossed back one more threadfin, while i was letting the line out, it just took off like crazy....i instantly knew what grabbed it! I closed the bail, and it was instantly game on, since it was on the river side of the barrier, I kicked off and went for a ride. He pulled me about 20 yards past the white buoys before he was landed. 39" long, this was my fattest yet! Aero320 happen to have a scale there since i misplaced mine. Weighed 33 lbs and I couldnt quite get all the fish out of the water sitting in the yak, haha!

Sorry for all the commotion Aero320, didn't mean to mess up your fishing and tangle in your lines.

Was going to hit a stream today to target some bass, but taking a day off, not feeling the best...need rest!

Nice fish Mike! If that was the only fish I caught it would be worth the trip.
