Default steinhatchee FL trip 3-1-14

well Friday morning I am loading my two boys up in the car and heading down to fish for a day. we are planning to target sheepshead, Florida snapper and black sea bass. if we get close to a few Amberjack hang outs. the captain said he will stop by and try them out for alittle bit. I have fished with big bend charters before and I have a feeling he will make sure we are close lol.

can't wait to spend a full day off-shore with the boys.

well we had a blast. the boys caught a lot of fish. not a lot of keepers but they sure had fun. the fish where being alittle stubborn but hey its fishing right.

I caught like 50-60 total. Brandon caught 34-36 and Aaron caught 45 or so. the reward for most fish was I bought them steak and shake for lunch.

Sounds like fun. Any grouper? I was down in Clearwater a couple months ago and caught a ton of gag grouper, but they were in a closed season and all had to go back. Wound up with a stringer full of grunts but that was all I could take home.

umm we caught like 3 little gags. but that's it. we didn't go out far enough to get into any scamp or red grouper.
