Default Best day of fishing ever!

My parents were in town this weekend to visit from MN. I keep sending my dad pictures of big striper, and he always says that he wants to catch one when he comes to visit.

So we hit the steam plant on saturday in the morning. We froze our butts off for 3 hours without a hit.

Then this morning we gave it our last shot as they are leaving tomorrow early morning. We fished a beautiful morning laughing and joking with friends. FloatnFish, Agelesssone, MidTnKayakanger, and a few other friends were out there. Finally out of the corner of my eye I see my dad set the hook, I look over to see his rod bent over and drag peeling. I was so pumped!!

When i saw this fish, I almost passed out!

I was a very very proud son to help put my dad on this fish. I lifted her overboard and we freaked out!

It was 44" long with a 27 1/2" girth and the boga read 46 lbs!!

My dads first big striper was a great one!

I will remember today forever!

Man oh man...when I go striper fishing with you I only catch 1.5 pounders. That's so awesome, congrats!

TS, You are right ...this is something That makes memories and will always be cherished ... I have seen this dozens of times when I was guiding ... The most memorable one is a newlywed Couple, that had chartered me, spent their honeymoon at my cabin and the next morning she put one in the boat that went 43 pounds....

But it really doesn't make any difference what size it is ... It is the fact that you did it with a loved one or best friend ... Mike I am happy for you and your Dad !! ... <'TK><
