Mojo - I moved here in 1998 from the Cocoa Florida area. I fished my entire life on Okeechobee and the St. Johns River system, not to mention inshore saltwater. I struggled mightily figuring Old Hickory out. Regardless of water temp there are shallow fish on OH. Find wood, chunk rock, bluff to flat transition areas, south facing banks. Slow roll spinner baits, swim jigs, chatter baits, medium diving crankbaits, jig & pig (black & blue). Contact the bottom and any rocks or wood cover. A couple sunny days and the radiant heat will bring fish into active mode. If you are fishing Bledsoe you are in good water. Run to Barton creek in the next couple of weeks. They will be headed for hard bottom spawning territory.
