One of my students lives near Spring Creek on Old Hickory. She showed me a picture of it frozen solid. They tried to raise the boat up on the lift so its out of the water and it was frozen solid.

If it keeps up this cold for much longer I will have to start fishing in my spa on the deck. It stays a blustery 102 degrees year round.

At that temp you can catch and cook all at once. I'm hitting JPP in the morning around 9. I bet there is ice on the lake. I will be putting in at jefferson springs area and fishing the river area.

Be careful. Last cold spell we had a few weeks ago I heard the guy at M'boro Outdoors say one of his buddies hit a chunk with his boat and messed it up pretty good. It was aluminum too I'm thinking.

Good luck, there are some feeder creeks to the Cumberland that are froze pretty good right now so be careful.

I will, I am going to get out a little later in the morning maybe 11. If it's frozen and I can't put in I guess I will head home. I have never seen the water frozen to the point I could not fish I have seen slush in the lake but never frozen over solid. Should be interesting, You guys think it's a waist of time and gas to try it tomorrow?

No ice on Dale and Horse Creek keeps a trash can full of salt at the ramp.

Just drove by Drakes Creek on main street in Hendersonville and it is frozen, both sides of the bridge, and it appears to extend a long way towards the main lake.

Drove past Station Camp creek where it crosses 31E. The water on the north side of 31E was completely frozen. On the south side that heads toward the cumberland was frozen for several hundred feet out. Didn't stop to see how deep the ice was.
