Default Duck instead of Elk

Ronny the fly guy at Cumberland Transit advised me that 1400cfs is going to be hairy on the Elk, especially for a first time float.

Considering the Duck instead. 520cfs is flowing.

Has anyone paddled it at this flow? Would probably put in at Normandy and float 4-6 miles.

Thanks, that's exactly what I needed to know.

Storms look bad for tomorrow evening, so we'll be on and off early.
