Default Condition of the Stones below the dam?

Anyone know about water speed/condition of the Stones River near the Heartland ramp area?

All depends if they are generating when you go. If so, very fast and high, if not, low and slow once it has dropped out. Schedule for tomorrow is 6:00 am to 11:00 am - 1 generator. 11:00 am to midnight - 0 generators.

This is what I use for water data its a great site -
http://nwis.waterdata.usgs.gov/tn/nw...agency_cd=USGS

The above link brings you right to the Stones/Cumber water level - you can change to any location the USGS maintains.

But I think the mobile site the USGS has is way better than the above link - check this out from your phone. I know it works great with iphone. It has the same info as above but with a WAY better interface. Some of their water data stations offer more info than others.

There is some lag time between when the generators shut off at the dam and when the water starts falling at the Heartland Ramp. If I recall correctly it's about an hour, but it's been a while since I have been up there.
