Guys I really want to fish the stones river area. I live in Portland. Where would you go to put in if you were me? I'll be kayak fishing.

Donelson.

From Madison/Goodlettsville:

Take Briley Parkway east - towards Opryland and the airport. Take the Two Rivers Parkway exit, Exit #10. Turn left onto Two Rivers Parkway. In approximately 1 mile, turn left onto McGavock Pike. Turn left on Fernbrook Lane (second street on your right). Continue straight at the Stop sign. The NYSA fields are located at the bottom of the hill.

That is directions to Metro's soccer complex there which is at the same park.

That ramp is pretty good, but there can be some sketchy folks there. Had to leave my yak on the ramp once while i got my truck and was wishing i wasnt alone.

I have put in at Kohl's too. I like the water there a bit better, but you have to cart or carry your boat about 100 yards.

paddle a couple hundred yards upstream and you can paddle into the mouth of stoners creek too. its pretty cool. there is also a riprap bank where the greenway is above it a bit further upstream too that i have had luck at.
