Default Field & Stream Talon 12' Mods

Started this thread to get mods that kayakers have done.

I bought some cork stoppers to plug the drain holes under the seat.

Today I got some foam practice golf balls to plug the other scubbers if needed or wanted. I going to install some monofiliment loops thru the foam to give me a handle to remove them.

From reviews, the seats in these are a weak point. I have not upgraded mine yet. ( I just purchased it a week ago.)

I have a Talon. The main issue is you will need to think differently than most of the kayak crowd. A milk crate doesn't fit. Here are a few pics of the mods I have done. A cart that is a rod holder and a DIY box between the seat and the rod holder and a "Rolodex" for all my spinners and plastics.

There is another guy that has one in the tourneys that I haven't met yet.

Thanks Lester. I know we have our own set of problems / concerns with the Talon.

How about a photo of your cart.
