old hickory lake fishing report 10/1/2013

I took my new friend Lee fishing today and there was little to no wind and partly cloudy sky.The water temp was 74.6 this morning and we started at the duck blind that was a 1/4 mile up the lake from lock 3 ramp on the left. I caught one small LM bass on a #5 shad rap and Lee caught a 8" shad on a jig & pig. There was a lot of bait there but not much action on the bait and after working the area over real good we started to troll crank baits at a 3 speed on the bow mount.Lee caught a small yellow bass and another shad.I caught a nice white bass that I should had put in the live well and didn't but we didn't catch anymore so that was OK that I let it go. We worked two more spots then call it a day so till the next time out................woody P.S. when we were at the duck blind we had a small group of deer near us while we were fishing.

Nice looking fish Woody. Hoping the white bass action heats up in next couple of weeks.

Good report, I stopped by Oh Beach and dam yesterday on the way home and the Dupont Deer were all over the place.

I think the white bass will turn on strong soon and I'm ready for those little
fighters.
