Default Jpp 9/29/13

Went and explored JPP in the Hurricane Creek area. I spent the majority of my time trolling Bandits in 12-20' of water with the crappies coming in 14-17' and small white bass in 12-14'. Ended up catching 3 crappies around 10", 4 white bass around 8" and 1 small 6" bluegill. I marked a ton of bait in the 12-15' range but not much anywhere deeper. This was my first time trolling for crappies and I worked more on figuring out the technique instead of covering a ton of areas. All in all, it was a good first trip to JPP and I am looking forward to getting out there more in the near future!

If you can locate some brushpiles with your sonar, troll over those with your bandits.

Oh I found plenty of those, but managed to only lose one Bandit to them. However, I didn't seem to catch many fish around them as there weren't a lot of baitfish near the piles that I went through.
