old hickory lake fishing report 9/28/2013

I went back out this morning to the duck blind on the left just passed the two islands up from lock 3 ramp. I started with the #5 shad rap in black & silver and caught two LM bass, one drum and one yellow bass and then the weekend boaters came out to play. So I moved to the cove around the corner from the ramp and finish the day there. I tried using my 1/8oz spinner bait but the bait fish were heading for the back of the cove and I knew the bass would be there so I went back to the #5 shad rap and got in to them again. The bass start on the bait fish around 12:00 for about four hours and as long as you keep working the bait pods you can keep catching the bass. The LM bass were running from .97lb to 1.56lbs and lots of fun catching them. So till the next time out...................woody

Nice glad to see the fish biting, I think I will go hit Drakes tonight with Crappie lights and see if I can Find em!
