Stones River below JPP - 9/25/13

I went out yesterday afternoon to the stones. We launched at kohls and the current was nearly nothing and actually flowing towards the dam. We paddled up about a mile, fishing along the way. I missed a few fish but got a nice one on a magnum pop-r that I tied a custom feathered treble for. My buddy caught some gills on the fly, poppers. The first photo is of Stoners creek.

Great fish. I usually don't fish that water unless it's high. Maybe I shouldn't pass it up as much as I do since it's in my backyard.

Blink - were you at Thorntons gas station in Donelson yesterday afternoon? It must have been your truck with kayak on top? I fish/bike that section of the Stones all the time.
