Default Where's Da Fish??

Was out on JPP all morning today and had my worst day of the year on that lake. Zero crappie, a dink bass, couple bluegill, and a drum. Thats it. Tried deep, medium shallow, brush, channel, edge, flats, favorite spots, new spots, different colors, lures, etc.. - Nuthin.

Even the baitfish and yellow bass were gone. So where did they all go, and more importantly, when will they come back?

Bass seem to really be scattered all over right now getting in to their fall patterns. I hit Priest Sunday morning and managed to scrap together 14. Only about 5 or 6 of those were keepers though. The rest were all 12-13" fish. I caught them on a little bit of everything... cranking, flipping wood, spinnerbaits, you name it. This was the biggest that I caught about 15 mins after I got on the water. She went 4.37lbs on my scale.

Pinwheeled, do tell... What seems to be the pattern right now for the bass from your experience. You seem to be one of the lucky ones. I too have been catching little buck bass & drum. Far cry from the 7 1/2 pounder a month ago.

Well for the last few weeks, my spots that have been holding fish all summer have just been vacant. No fish on the graph, no bait, nothing. Figured they were starting to get in to their fall patterns so started working farther back in to main lake pockets and up the creeks. Didn't catch much way back in the creeks but they're getting there. I've probably caught more on crankbaits than anything but there has been a really good buzzbait bite too. I launched at Fate Sanders on Sunday.
