Default Steam plant this winter

If I heard it correctly on Doug's show last Saturday, they may be closing off the steam plant area to fishing for a year due to construction? If its true, that bums me out, I was looking forward to fishing it for my first time this winter.

hmm no good. but to be honest if all they close is the canal once it narrows. then it won't hurt too bad.

IF they close off the canal, I know someone who's gonna be pissed.

Guess you'll have to go to Kroger... you know who.

This will really change things up in the steam plant area and make the flats very crowded. One good thing is it may keep many people away as fishing outside of the canal is more difficult than fishing in it. Plus, think of all the undisturbed fish in the canal that wont be chased out each day. It could mean a lot more big fish hold in the canal. We will just have to catch them as the move in and out.

If this is just for a year, it is no big deal. It may even be better than last winter which was an overall bust for the steam plant area.

Man, that sucks. The fishing wasn't that good for me there last winter, and I was hoping for a good one this year.
