Default Old Hickory Asian Carp.

Fished OH today for a couple hours and a game warden came by the ramp we launched from at Avondale parked next to the ramp then mounted an "Invasive Species Asian Carp" sign.

It's bright red and has a list of precautions to take.

Launched out of there today, I must have missed the sign. Didn't see any though!

Same sign at Rockland. I didn't know they had gotten into Old Hickory.

I talk to a friend that has a friend who runs a sian net in OH and as caught them up to 100 lbs this year but since the market is only paying around 23 cents on the pound they let them go............woody

I don't care if you can't make money off of them or not, please don't release them back into the water ALIVE. This is devastating news.

The TWRA actually does not want any released and for us to remove them.

You would think there would be a bounty on them to get them out of the lake, but there isn't. Something like the one on the east coast for snake heads.............woody

Default Shutes

Fished out of Shutes this morning and that sign was up there as well. They haven't made it up to East TN yet--hope they don't.

In Illinois, it's a $500.00 fine to release one alive back into the water. They snag them with big treble snag hooks, they shoot them with bow and arrow, and net them,.... cut their bellies open and toss them back.
