Default Pond in Bellevue

Not a monster, but my largest (2.5-3 lbs) on 2# Trilene and a pink Trout Magnet. I intend to replace it before fishing again with 2# SOS.

Congrats on the catch! It is no easy task to land a large mouth that big on 2# test.....to me that fish just has a ton of torque.

Regards

No, it's at a secret location guarded by dozens of highly toxic copperbacked rattle moccasins, electric fences and a minefield. Actually, it's in my subdivision and guarded by zealous neighbors who don't want any more rednecks than me fishing there. Sad that that's how the average yuppie regards hunters or fishermen.

The pond or borrowpit behind shoneys is a hard place to fish. Early during cool weather it produces crappie and bluegills. Now it is covered with algae and stinks! Access is easier now that Regal and taken the security away. If you go, the best access is behind shoney's in the corner of the pit bounded by shoney's and 70S.

If anyone ever figures out who owns this pit, post it here.

Thanks

Funny! Thanks for the humor and info on the Shoney's pond...I've always wondered about it. Take it easy.

According to the Tax records the pond behind Shoney's is owned by "Highway 70 Lake LLC " Zoned as vacant Commercial property. I knew a guy that used to slip a jon boat in there in the Spring and he swears he would wear the crappie out. I fished there a few years ago and caught a few gills and 1 small Bass from the bank. This was before the flood. Nice fish, also!

I've been to that pond, looked at it a few times, would be great for a lightweight kayak. No easy access to the lake. Gonna have to drag whatever you fish in down and then back up steep hill.

I think I'll hit it next year in a belly boat.
