Great day to close the week.
Wore them out today at Pickwick tailrace. The only lure I used all day was the Lindy River Rocker number 3. I fished colors Shad and Alewife. I lost 4 lures today. The side walk was about 3.5 feet under water...water was very clear. I had 4 big bass hit it right as it came to the far side of the sidewalk and all of them tangled me up in the rocks right on outer edge of sidewalk. Couldn't turn them quick enough. Two of them I could see and almost went into water after them....thought better though...LOL. I could see them just hung up and I gave them line but I couldn't work them loose. I fished for 4 hours...caught a ton of nice sized bass.....not a single white bass. The pics are a few of what I caught....had a few small ones but not many. The fish over on the flat were much heavier fish. I was in the tailrace up until 11:30 AM then did what no fisherman should ever do...."Never leave where you are catching fish".....but I left and I went to a flat that has held nice fish during this time of year and yep....they were there also. This River Runner lure is really great for tailrace fishing...and works on flats also. As I said water was clear and the water temp today was 84.5 degrees. They will drop to 50,000 CFS starting tomorrow. Only fished the flat a little while. It was hot and I had a long walk up that hill. Going to hit again starting Monday...life is good!
Regards

Good luck you two.
Your reports have been great...as the late Jerry Reed sang "when you're hot you're hot!"
But for the rest of us it's just been hot.

Those are some nice bass, Alpha. In that first pic, how was that guy in the boat doing? It looks like he's watching you catch fish LOL
