Default Smartphone GPS/Waypoints

Alot of us have smartphones now and have access to a ton of apps.
Has anybody found any phone apps (android in my case) that are GPS apps but let you store waypoints? I eventually plan on getting a another new humminbird unit for my trolling motor and i plan getting a unit that has that capability in it, but until then, if somebody knows of or has been using a smartphone app that lets you store waypoints, that would be great.
Thanks.

I use Navionics on my phome also, but don't store waypoints. What I do is use Google Maps on my phone and store the waypoints in there, and then when I have some free time look on them on the computer or get the coordinates off there and keep them in my records. If they are worthy enough to log into the unit I will.

I have the Navionics app on my phone and iPad. The screens are difficult to see in the bright sunlight. Also, the GPS function takes additional power so you will need to be plugged into a power source.
