Very helpful...I just discovered that mine is torn as well. Now I have an excuse to go back to bass pro...hate that traffic though.

I replaced mine a couple years ago with one I got from Tractor supply company, I bought one of those yellow ratchet straps they sell to strap down tractors, equipment, hay, etc... on trailers. It works great and is much heavier than what come on my winch.

Yes it was. Did you do any good that day? I caught a 4 pounder on my first cast off the stairs....that was it though.

Nice fish, Greg!

You NEVER, EVER want to catch a nice fish on the first cast of the day! I've seen it happen a bunch and then the rest of the day is jinxed.

Hey Merv, weirdly that is very true. Every time I've gotten lucky on the first cast its been a rough day.

I fished a tournament w/gboyce and he caught a nice keeper on the first cast. We struggled and put two more small keepers in the boat in the next 8 hours.
While the tournament winner stayed in the same bay we were in and was culling 4 pounders by the end of the tournament day.

I think I'll make all of my "first casts" up onto a dock or shore and snatch it back to the boat!
