Mid TN Streams
The fishing Friday was slower than usual, mainly because of a pretty good pop up storm that effected some of the 1st stream we fished with unsafe wading waters. John and Bruce came in from Birmingham to fish some of John's childhood stomping grounds. We had a great time wading 2 different streams we did manage to catch some smallies and rock bass and those darned ole gar and trophy Drum. John's Biggest smallie was 18 inches and Bruce had a 15 inch. Bruce did have a very nice fish on that gave him a good fight and experience but it came unbuttoned. Creekminnows and Slider grubs,Brush Hawgs and Case Magic Sticks were the lures of choice. Watch out for those big downpours the next week they could cause a small stream to rise very fast. I have some dates open in July if anyone is interested in learning about our great Middle TN Streams.
