JPP dam 5/21/13
Headed back down to the dam today after work. Just spent a half hour down there, then it was home to the couch for a night! This time I went to the spillway side and fished the calm water. Twitched a bison TM with a split shot 6" above the bait. Caught several bluegill, but all small, also had a handful of dandy whites and also caught a new TM species for me. Landed a buffalo on the TM. Those whites and that buffalo were pulling drag on the Ultra lite like crazy! Good times!

I like buffalo ribs as well as I do crappie. We are fast approaching a time when the water will be too warm for buffalo to be any good.

I've tried buffalo and I agree it's really good. It's extremely bony though. They have even more "extra" bones than trout. Impossible to fillet.

Did the buffalo try to eat it or did you snag it?
