Default Normandy Dam 5/18/13

Tried something new today and went to the Normandy Dam. Never been there. Pretty cool area.

I started tossing the bison trout magnet and never stopped. The nice gills were in there today! First cast was a bluegill and caught about 75 more. Biggest was 8 3/4" and several were in the 8" range. Very healthy and THICK! It was a blast. Mixed in were several small gills and also caught about 50 blacknosed crappie. But all were 5-8 inches.

Took home 4 chuncky 13-14" rainbows for the grill also!

It was nonstop action and I had a great time and will return someday! It is always fun trying new water and being successful!

Great bunch of fish! We have so much trout in our freezer from winter trout stocking and the crappie spawn, I may never have to keep a fish again!
